2018 WEDDING TREND SETTERS | MONDAY MEMOS | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

One of the things I love most about being a wedding photographer is that each event is unique. Each couple curates a beautiful experience that differs from the one before it. I am always kept on my toes, their details always surprising me. It is so neat to see which vendors and resources are selected, and a delight to photograph the fun!

Today, I want to share five vendors that make a statement at any affair. I love each one of these small businesses, and happily refer them for your next big party. If looking to add a cool element to your reception, I am here to offer some suggestions!

FIVE | LIL PHOTO BUS

Photo booths are fail safe at any event. Guests can enjoy them during the party, and take the photos home with them. Make this even more of an experience by renting out the LIL PHOTO BUS. This old school VW bus has been converted into a working photo booth! It comes with everything you need from props to a printer.

MY FAVORITE THING: I adore that this is a photo booth AND a statement prop for any wedding day photos that might be posed nearby.

FOUR | SENTIMENTAL FOOLS

This cute little company had me at “sentimental.” I’ve followed SF on Instagram for some time, and I just had to recommend them on today’s blog! They specialize in balloon installations, but not just any run-of-the-mill balloon arch. These gorgeous pieces are truly works of art. If you want to wow your guests and create a stellar photo opportunity, add this vendor your to your MUST HIRE list.

MY FAVORITE THING: These arrangements are so fun, colorful, innovative, and HAPPY. I’m really attracted to the joyful energy they add and I hope to see some of these at upcoming weddings!

THREE | B’MORE FLUFF

Look, anything that involves cotton candy is a WIN. It’s sweet, it’s delicate, and it’s a fun thing to watch whipped up! B’MORE FLUFF provides an adorable cart where attendees can pop over to get hand spun cones of cotton or cotton candy infused cocktails. You should feel warm and fluffy on your wedding day, and this is a great way to share that sweet vibe with loved ones.

MY FAVORITE THING: This is a interactive favor! I have personally stood in line for over 30 minutes at Disney for the perfect cotton candy treat, so I know it would be a hit at any wedding.

TWO | FUREVER AND FUR ALWAYS

Wedding planning can be rough. You want all of your friends and family to be there, including the furry ones! FUREVER & FUR ALWAYS enables your pet pals to be at your wedding. They attend with your animals so they can tend to their needs. Hiring professionals will allow everyone to simply have a good time. Want scruffy and kitty to be there, too? No worries. Furever Always has your back!

MY FAVORITE THING: I wish I had known Furever and Fur Always had existed when I planned my wedding. If I could change something about my wedding day, it would be to have our pups there. Don’t live with my regret… hire a pet attendant!

ONE | BY BRITTANY BRANSON

Everyone knows you can document your wedding through photography. You may even have it in your budget to hire a videographer as well. One can add a photo booth, a guest book, and pop cameras (disposable or instant) on tables throughout the reception. These are all excellent ways to preserve your memories! If you want something extraordinary, consider BY BRITTANY BRANSON. Brittany is an artist that creates a custom, hand-painted portrait from your day. Inspired by the elements of your wedding, her work is always one of a kind.

MY FAVORITE THING: It’s very interesting to watch Brittany work. To see how she interprets “the shot” is amazing, and I think it’s such a special keepsake from your day.
