Whitney and Peter met in 2005. Their paths were crossed at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Georgia. In 2017, Pete would propose to Whitney. After twelve years, he would pop the question at the top of Mount Washington in New Hampshire. While they tied the knot nearly two weeks ago in Maryland, Whitney and Pete were on the road within days of their marriage. They can now be found in their brand new home, back where it all started-Georgia!
The Elkridge Furnace Inn recently opened a new venue. It is an extension of the Inn, but is known as the “Garden House.” While I’ve had the opportunity to shoot at the Inn many times, this was my first wedding on the new premises. The Garden House is so cute! It provides ample room for couples to get ready, with beautiful decor that makes for great pre-wedding photos. Whitney and Pete took advantage of the space, as you’ll see below.
Four flower girls walked down the aisle to make way for Whitney. Despite doing a First Look with Pete before the ceremony, Whitney still got choked up with her father as she started the wedding march. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with love, laughter, and sunshine.
Whitney and Pete invited guests to join them for a tented reception next to the Inn’s gardens. This started with an elegant First Dance, toasts, and dinner service. Everyone made their way to the dance floor afterward and remained there til’ the end of the night! For April, it was a chilly evening, but I doubt anyone noticed as everyone remained on the move. There was so much happy in the air, and I smiled so much looking through the images from the day to create this blog.
