Planning a Taylor Swift themed wedding is not as easy when there is a real-life groom in the mix. Don’t get me wrong. Dave is a Swiftie. He’s a fan of Taylor and I intensified that fandom by taking him to his first show, the 1989 World tour, back in 2016.

That show was a Monday in July… the 13th. <3

I love a challenge and I used incorporating Taylor Swift into our wedding as discretely as possible. This chance to plan such cryptic details no doubt planted the seed for what would, nearly three years later, become our 6.9 shoot.

FIVE FUN FACTS

Dave and I got engaged while “OURS” by Taylor Swift was playing. Read more about how that happened-here.
We invited Taylor to our wedding with one of our lyric packed invitations from EAlexDesigns.
Our wedding procession music was a piano mash-up of Wildest Dreams/Enchanted, heavily inspired by the 1989 era-as were most of the details from the wedding.
Friend, Jon, married us. This allowed for a more personal experience, made even better by his many Swift inspired puns written into the ceremony.
During our reception, a mysterious guest arrived. Our DJ announced that someone special had requested to join the party and open up the dance floor. My heart was RACING. We were surprised by a cameo from Mr. Boh, a Baltimore icon, who came racing out to kick off the dancing. While I was slightly sad it wasn’t Taylor, my husband was grinning ear to ear. We STILL to this day have no idea how he ended up at our wedding, but it was such a pleasant surprise!
