PRE-WEDDING

Sarah and her bridesmaids got ready at a hotel near the Anchor Inn. Balloons above the bed read “BRIDE TO BE.” The room buzzed with excitement. Across the street at a different hotel, the boys were suiting up for the day with EJ. It was a sunny November day, and family and friends were all smiles in anticipation of Sarah and EJ’s union. It was a short commute to the venue, where we prepared for a First Look.

CEREMONY

It was admittedly windy for the ceremony. The sun, however, offered a blast of warmth for this stunning November ceremony. Views of the water sat behind Sarah and EJ as they shared their vows. EJ and Sarah had both written their own vows in cute little books. Check out the fun facts below to see how they are making this even MORE special.

PARTY TIME

The bridal party entered by dancing their way into the reception, as did the newlyweds. Sarah and EJ made their way to the middle of their guests, rather than the dance floor. This-is where they would share their First Dance. Afterward, they made their way to the sweetheart table to be toasted by loved ones. Dinner was spectacular and dancing quickly ensued. The energy of the party didn’t let up, even through their grand exit!

FIVE FUN FACTS

  1. Everyone in this bridal squad, gals and guys, wore Chuck Taylors. They were perfect dancing shoes, too!
  2. Sarah and EJ brought their dogs to their engagement session. Because they were unable to attend the wedding, Sarah’s sister had cardboard cut-outs of them made to surprise her with during the ceremony.
  3. The couple wrote their own vows. To take it up a notch, they had a box created that would hold their vow books and a box of wine. Each year, they will re-open the box and share the wine while reading their entries. Each year, they will write another set of vows and enclose it with a new box of wine for the year following.
  4. EJ’s brother had a clever way of “roasting” during his toast. He passed out three envelopes with previous scenarios EJ had found himself in, with multiple options. Random guests read these out loud, made guesses about which choice was correct, and EJ would reveal the fun. It was one of the BEST toasts I’ve seen!
  5. Sarah and EJ skipped the traditional sparkler exit and opted for foam sticks. I have to say, I LOVED this exit and the shots that come from it. It was the perfect end to their perfect day.
