BALTIMORE MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | THAT TIME I…
Have you ever done something without telling anyone?
Being an artist is all about pushing boundaries and trying new things. The moment you get comfortable is the moment things can get boring. The best part is that everything in our lives can inspire us, down to a new hair do. I have always wanted to add pink into my hair. I have talked myself out of it numerous times because I thought it might clash with my skin tone, would be too “radical,” or I’ve had events where I deemed it inappropriate (i.e. our recent wedding).
Not yesterday.
I walked into the salon and asked for this lovely pink/blonde mix. I was so nervous that I really didn’t take a good look at myself until I got home. Now that I’ve had a chance to get used to it, I’m falling in love! It feels so much like ME.
It was hard to take self portraits at night with no remote or assistance, but I think I pulled it off! I’m excited to share my colorful new locks with the world, and I hope it encourages you to get out there and do something spontaneous. Life is too short to be afraid you will be judged for pink hair. <3
