Excuse me while I start this blog post with WHERE did the time go? We’re facing dead into the eyes of February and it. is. staring. back. My first wedding of the year is next month which means my wedding season kicks off in just a few weeks. I’m so excited about the couples I’m working with this year, one of which is Sarah and Jeff!

A PERFECT MATCH

Jeff invited Sarah over to his parent’s house to meet him. This meeting is extraordinary because it would be the first time they ever met. The pair had connected only a week before on Match, but shared so many similarities. While Sarah made the initial contact with Jeff online, Jeff initiated everything to follow.

I asked Sarah whether it was love at first sight. She responded, “Yes, Jeff told me he loved me within a week.” This is a great example of how romantic these two are. I can attest to this fact having gotten to know them over the past year!

In just a few short weeks, the two were officially a couple. After three months, Jeff and Sarah moved into their first apartment together. Time was flying and these two were making tons of precious memories.

3 YEARS + NINE MONTHS LATER

On Christmas Eve, as their rules would have it, Sarah and Jeff were to exchange one early present each. After spending the day with both families, they came home and changed into comfy bath robes. In a moment of holiday bliss, Jeff knelt down by the Christmas tree and proposed. Sarah, crying, said “YES!”

Jeff and Sarah decided to tell everyone in person the next day on Christmas. This made for a sleepless night as visions of their wedding day ran through their heads. Sarah could not wait to walk in on Christmas morning with her new accessory. When they made their announcement, there were many happy tears as they stayed off of social media and celebrated with their respective families. They stayed so unplugged that even later that week at Jeff’s 30th birthday party, they were able to make the announcement to friends as well!

BATTER UP

Sarah always imagined a Spring wedding with a baseball theme. Jeff and Sarah are both huge baseball fans and when they went to Ripken Stadium last February, they easily fell into the idea of an April date at home plate! Guests will watch these two get hitched from the stands this April, and I cannot wait to be there with them.

THREE FUN FACTS

Jeff and Sarah have animal names for each other. Jeff’s is “penguin” and Sarah’s is “skunk.”
Their song is “Wanted” by Hunter Hayes.
Jeff asked Sarah to be his girlfriend at 11:30 PM and years later would ask Sarah to marry him at 11:40 PM. Someone’s a night person! :)
