GETTING READY

Herrington on the Bay is a gorgeous waterside lodge with tropical views. You might not think there are palm trees in Maryland, but there are! This little oasis on the beach was the perfect place for a wedding. Amanda and Nick prepared in separate suites surrounded by friends and family. I loved so many things about this wedding. It all started with the girl’s matching rompers for getting ready. Try and deny their cuteness!

THE CEREMONY

Much like most weddings I’ve had this year, the forecast was showing rain. It wasn’t just showing rain, but the type of inevitable rain that would last throughout the day. This meant the ceremony would be moved inside and photos might prove a bit challenging. We had a large, beautiful bridal party to showcase so I made time to say a few extra prayers for the weather. As fate would have it, the skies cleared. The sun blazed down upon us and Amanda and Nick’s ceremony took place as planned by the water.

PARTY TIME

Nick and Amanda invited some amazing people to their wedding. Their families were so sweet and their bridal party was so fun! To add to the fabulous vibe they set, all of their guests were equally joyous. This made for a ridiculously good time on the dance floor. Everyone joined the newlyweds to get down to tunes from 90’s throwbacks to the newest hits. Both the bride and groom were smiling all night long, and guests infectiously joined in beaming back at them. They ended the night with a epic sparkler send off and set out for their honeymoon.

1. Amanda’s best friend is married to Nick’s brother. How is that for the perfect double date set up?
2. Nick surprised Amanda with a proposal in Cabo San Lucas on horseback!
3. This duo is crafty! They made countless details themselves for their wedding, including an epic backdrop for photo opportunities.
4. Despite the rainy forecasts, it didn’t rain a single bit during Amanda and Nick’s event.
5. Amanda received a pre-wedding gift from Nick to end all pre-wedding gifts. It was a FRENCHIE! Can all weddings moving forward include puppies, please?
