FIRST DATE VIBES

It was love at first sight, as far as Mike and Liz felt it was possible. After finding one another on Tinder, they started talking. This led to their first date on December 9, 2015-an anniversary the pair still celebrate. At Rye in Fells Point, Liz and Mike began their love story (followed by drinks at Max’s Taphouse!). Three weeks later, these lovebirds made their relationship official.

TRAVEL & TRUE LOVE

Liz and Mike had been talking about getting engaged for a bit. They had been together two and a half years, and had quite a few trips planned ahead of them. Two trips approaching were Amsterdam and Nashville, TN. Mike did his best to throw Liz off by dropping hints that Amsterdam was going to be perfect, and he hoped to propose there. The trip for Nashville, TN came first.

While Mike and Liz visited Nashville, they had unseasonably warm weather that enabled them to get out and explore. Despite it being warm, Mike insisted they take jackets. After a long day of experiencing the city, the two arrived at a pedestrian bridge with views of downtown. There were lots of tourists and wedding parties nearby taking photos, but Liz wanted her pictures, too! The two stopped at the top of the bridge to take a few selfies.

Liz snapped away, and Mike joined her for a few photos. At this point, Mike began to tell Liz how much he loved her. He then dropped down to one knee. Bursting into happy tears, Liz expressed her joy as Mike pulled the ring out of his jacket pocket. He had been carrying it around all day awaiting the perfect moment. And it was just that-PERFECT.

FIVE FUN FACTS

Liz and Mike actually found out after speaking on Tinder that they went to the same elementary school.
A random girl approached Liz and Mike after their engagement and told them she had photographed the whole thing, giving them the chance to relive the moment over and over again.
These two like to just hang out, eat cheese, and watch episodes of Jeopardy.
If they could invite a famous couple to their wedding with a promised “yes,” they would invite Michelle and Barack Obama! Liz and Mike say, “They seem like they would be a lot of fun and could show off some good dance moves.”
Liz and Mike agreed to stay together during a huge blizzard during the first month of their relationship. They got snowed in and got to know one another. The result? They confessed their love for one another. Elsa–eat your heart out!
