They say times flies when you’re having fun, and although I’ve been super busy-fun has definitely been had!
Last year, I organized my first workshop and both sessions were scheduled for March of this year. Our first was March 8th, and I’m so pleased to report it was a smashing success! With our second date approaching, I have so many exciting announcements regarding upcoming dates for The Little WV Worskhop. The dates we are going to talk about today are super special, and this opportunity is going to be fabulous.
I’m planning a FULL weekend workshop in Canaan Valley, WV. On August 21st, 12 photographers will arrive to the cabin we’ve secured to spend the entire weekend growing their craft. This secluded learning experience will give us all time to focus on networking, each attendee’s specific need, and supporting one another as we ask questions about where we want our businesses to go. It will be a great get away to get inspired!
A few of the things we will talk about at the retreat will be:

*Marketing & Target Clients
*Introduction to Boudoir
*Posing {weddings & boudoir}
*Editing & Post-Production Workflow
On top of the classroom portion of the workshop, we will also be participating in hands on shooting. This includes a gorgeous stylized boudoir AND bridal session. We’ve recruited Lauren of So Lovely Weddings to bring the vision to life, and we can’t wait to work with her! These live session opportunities will give me a chance to focus on posing, client interaction, and styling detail images. Lauren has also agreed to speak to attendees about her knowledge of the wedding industry, and how that translates to us as photographers.
For our stunning models, we’ve also recruited Natalie of Baltamour Artistry to be on site all weekend. Having an MUA will enable us to take styling even further, keep our ladies looking fresh, and try out different hair styles/looks. These sessions will no doubt make great additions to any portfolio!
