It’s always so much fun when I get to travel out of state for a wedding. I was born in Orlando, Florida and many of my close family members reside there. This offers me the chance to shoot one or two weddings a year there, but this one was special. This one was for my baby cousin, Anthony, who I hope will still appreciate this blog post even though it’s a little mushy.
Anthony and I have always been close. I would tote him around on my hip pretending I was old enough to babysit and he would smile back at me with the happiest face. As we grew up and moved apart, we always remained close. We would talk on the phone, always ending in a battle of “I love you more.” Even as we got older, we continued the tradition any time we parted ways.
When Amber came into the picture, it just felt natural. She fit into our family like a glove. She’s funny, down to Earth, kind, and she shares many of Anthony’s same quirks. This came into play in small ways on the wedding day. R2D2 was the ring bearer and a custom Princess Bride themed cake table made for fun accents. Dandy Detail Events executed an overall timeless theme for the newlyweds, with uplighting and music that provided entertainment for all of the guests late into the night.

High compliments, babe! Thank you. This was one of my trickiest lighting scenarios to date and I’m just so thankful for all the education I’ve had with other gals over the past two years. I’d be no where without y’all!

It was the perfect weather, and the perfect day. I can’t believe you looked at that venue for your wedding! Doesn’t that make it seem like the smallest world?!
