I’ve been living in Maryland for three and a half years now, and there are still tons of new (to me) locations to shoot. Rebecca and Brian chose a place close to their home for their engagement session, suggesting Prettyboy Reservoir as our meeting point. I welcome the opportunity to shoot at new locations as it is exciting to explore and also encourages my creativity. Times like these remind me that sessions can be adventures. Really, really fun adventures.
Rebecca reached out to me last year. She is the little sister to one of my dear friends, so I was honored when she was referred. She and Brian are extremely down-to-Earth and my time with them felt so natural. While so many couples are worried about how they might look in front of the camera, engagement sessions serve as a time when you can work through those nerves. Fortunately for me, Brian and Rebecca didn’t need to work through anything. The camera loved them!
You’ll see from the images to follow that the pair could not stop cuddling or laughing. We had silly, happy moments as well as intimate, sappy ones. Their dog, Sadie, even joined us for some fun. We made her day by letting her play in the water, and she gave us some awesome images in return. SO, if you’ve been debating on bringing your fur baby with you to your engagement session (or wedding day!), the answer is: DO IT!
I would be lying if I didn’t say I wasn’t excited for Rebecca and Brian’s wedding in the Fall. It was such a pleasure to shoot with them that I can hardly wait to do it again on their wedding day! If they bring even half of the A-game they brought to their engagement session, their photos will be EPIC.
