GETTING READY

The Chesapeake Beach Resort is another tropical getaway located right here in Maryland. It’s about an hour outside of the city, and once you arrive, you will find palm trees. This area is popular for Summer getaways, charter fishing, and WEDDINGS. Kristen and John rented rooms among their guests to fully enjoy the weekend and the views. This made prepping for the event a breeze. With corner suites that overlooked the water, John and his groomsmen got ready directly below the girl’s room upstairs.

THE CEREMONY

John and Kristen were able to get married on the sand in front of their friends and family. They chose gorgeous colors of pink, yellow, and teal that popped against the Chesapeake Bay. Music played a huge role in the wedding with special attention to tunes from The Beatles. The pair exchanged their vows, a few laughs, happy tears, and a first kiss as husband and wife. As the sun went down, Kristen and John were wed!

PARTY TIME

The bridal party led introductions by dancing in to a variety of music. They surrounded the dance floor as Kristen and John entered for their first dance. DJ Mike Stern kicked the party off quickly, and everyone rushed out to shake it off. It was a stellar party that ended with actual fireworks. Kristen and John not only planned a beautiful wedding, but everyone seemed to have the BEST time.

The bride used an adorable self-made planner to keep organized during the event. You may see it make a cameo below!
John’s brother performed a surprise song from The Beatles during his toast. He also took part in the music played during the cocktail hour.
Part of Kristen’s signature look is rocking an a-line dress or a bow in her hair. Her wedding day was no exception. She wore a beautiful gown that hit at the waist and had two custom veils made with bows.
During their wedding planning process, Kristen and John moved in a few houses down from me. I was coming home from a wedding one night and saw John. It was a total surprise, but we are neighbors now!
