It’s a new year! How exciting!
Rachel and Shane found me online. We conversed via email and when we decided to meet, they picked a retro diner outside of the city. I was so incredibly nervous pulling in. They were my first Maryland couple to book a consult. They were potentially my first Maryland couple, ever. I didn’t know who I was going to meet, and if I had-I’d laugh at myself for being nervous at all. They are such a funny, easy-going, and down-to-Earth couple.
We had breakfast and talked about their wedding. The two, aesthetically, look like such a mismatch. Rachel is a teacher with a bright personality and Shane, a motorcycle lover who is quick witted and blunt. Soon you’re talking, and you realize their chemistry is undeniable. Undenaible and adorable. By the end of our brunch time meal, we felt more like friends and were quoting our favorite lines from mutually loved films.
This came back into play at our engagement session. I heard Shane say, “I’m right on top of that, Rose!” It’s one of my favorite lines, but when I say it, people rarely get it. I turned in excitement and we shared in our love for the movie, “Dont Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead.” I love that clients can be silly around me. It means I can be silly, too. :)

I’m so glad you were able to come in from Orlando during the holidays so that we could do some “hometown” engagements. I had a great time with you, can’t wait for the wedding, and I’m so grateful you’ve trusted this small town WV girl. See you both again in June!

These look great!! We had so much fun doing the shoot. It’s kind of surreal seeing the love between us, but that’s all I can focus on. I can’t wait to see what the pictures of the wedding look like. And I can’t wait to be showing those pictures to grandkids years down the road. Thanks again Ash,

So in love with all of these photos. I think you did a great job at capturing the easiness of the love that Shane and Rachel share. Nothing looks forced or uncomfortable and it’s very hard to have someone take pictures of you without that feeling. You can see how comfortable they are. love you guys!! Xoxo

The photos turned out wonderful!! Rachel looks very lovely in these photos!! And of couse Shane looks nice too! The wedding will be a very special day. I can’t wait till June 19, 2015

These pictures are Great, Ashton where were you when i was young? I mean Rachael is beautiful that is a given but The way you made Shane look? My God Your a Magician!!! I mean I know the love & looks are there from knowing them but a perfect stranger who looks at these has got to say-opposites DO attract! You can’t stage the love coming through in these photos.

Ashton, as always you have done an amazing job! I love these photos so much. You can tell they were at ease in front of the camera and really love each other. I wish that Michael and I could be that photogenic but we seem to never let our love for each other show while we’re in front of a camera, but maybe someday we’ll perfect it like this couple haha. Love these!!
