FRIENDS FIRST

Cody and Alyssa went to high school together. They also attended the same college. The two grew closer at Towson University. Knowing few people on campus, the pair became easy friends. Alyssa and Cody moved into an apartment together as roommates their Junior and Senior year of university.

LUCK OF THE IRISH

Alyssa had the opportunity to intern in Ireland her Junior year of college. She had always wanted to share that experience with Cody, so they booked a trip in June of 2016. On one of their vacation days, they rented a car so they could take a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher. To capture the moment, Cody passed his camera to two girls standing nearby and asked them to take a photo. Alyssa went into a pose, but was surprised when Cody dropped to his knee instead.

After Alyssa said yes and overcame her shock, she and Cody set out for more adventure. They visited a petting zoo in the late afternoon. Alyssa was so excited to see an ostrich as well as baby miniature ponies. She and Cody ended the night with dinner and drinks in downtown Galway. Cody says that their wedding will go down as the best day of their lives, while Alyssa holds fondly to the day of their engagement.

FIVE FUN FACTS

1. Alyssa and Cody picked a color scheme of maroon and blue to compliment the industrial vibe of the Baltimore Museum of Industry.
2. The pair opted out of buying traditional favors for guests. They donated the budget for this item to BARCS instead, and the shelter brought an adorable pup to cocktail hour. Guests loved this!
3. This wedding was at 6:00 PM. We had great light for everything from the first look to their formal portraits. Alyssa and Cody planned their timing just right!
4. Rather than a traditional wedding cake, Alyssa surprised Cody with a groom’s cake that resembled the cap of a Natty Boh beer. This was served amongst lots of baked goodies for dessert.
