WHERE I’M GOING | AKP TRAVELING | ASHTON KELLEY PHOTOGRAPHY | MARYLAND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

I’ve been on the road a lot lately. I rarely fly, but we’ve stayed close to the East Coast. I know that will be changing, likely soon. Things have caught fire so quickly, it has opened up a world of opportunity for AKP to travel, to mentor, and to capture beauty. We are blessed to be doing these things and sharing them with others.

If you had asked me last year where I was going, my answer would likely have been, “I don’t know.” I was in the thick of planning our first travel events, praying they would be successful, and eager to go away and see some new places. I wasn’t focused on where we’d be then.. well, now. I had hoped we’d have enough interest to do one AKP Retreat a year. Flashing forward, we’ve had one this year and we have launched two more, potentially adding another in November.

Absolute craziness.

The best part? We get to do all of these great things TOGETHER!

There is nothing more exciting than traveling with like-minded peers and connecting with those creatives. These opportunities are great to learn more about the industry, to form new friendships, to see the world, get inspired, and say “yes” to your life. This girl time provides a haven for you to be honest about your business struggles and your biggest dreams. These long weekends are catered directly to you, so that your number one priority is enjoying yourself and being present. We want you to walk away feeling refreshed and ready to take on your business goals.

I leave today to head to Charleston, WV for a Shutter Sister picnic tomorrow morning followed by Spring mini sessions. I’m thankful that I still have the chance to work with so many of my WV clients, and it’s wonderful to visit with the local photographer community there! On Monday, I’m off to Charleston, SC for a few days to Retreat with some boss ladies. From Baltimore, to Charleston (WV), to Charleston (SC), and back! I’ll be out of the office until Thursday, but don’t worry.. I’ve scheduled plenty of posts to ensure you don’t miss a beat. ;)

This year I’ll be speaking a few events outside of my own and I am so excited to be part of these workshops. You can join me in June with Building Boss Ladies in Maryland or in October/December with House of Flynn in Mexico!
