There are couples that I meet.. that I connect with in such a way, that I feel so thankful and humbled to know them. Brittany and Kevin met me at Panera last year and over coffee, Brittany expressed her dreams for her wedding and I gushed over each and every detail. Kevin supportively backed her up with enthusiasm, and the pair had an obvious chemistry that felt so great to be around. During that first meeting, Brittany had said to me to that she knew just from seeing me online that I “was their photographer.”
It’s so funny. I remember that moment so clearly. It was one of those times where you realize that you’re suddenly not being interviewed to be someone’s photographer, and that this is no longer a business transaction.. this is a couple excitedly hoping that I would say yes. I was eager and happy to do so and naturally, we all hugged it out and signed a contract, but these two have been exceptional to work with. Just as they are perfect for each other, it feels so great to work with clients who feel that I am also perfect for their big day.
Flash forward to their wedding, this past Friday, and a storm literally dispersed to provide us with the most gorgeous day. Brittany and Kevin got married at Belmont Manor and shared a fun-filled reception with their friends and family. Their guests treated us with the most sincere kindness through the whole day, and I can’t say enough how grateful I am to each family and bridal party member for creating such a fabulous atmosphere for us and the couple. EPIC party!

So.. last week my good friend, Amber Robinson of Images by Amber Robinson, was in town for a speaking engagement and styled shoot in the DC area, and I had offered to let her stay with me during her travels. She happened to have Friday free, so she joined me and my co-shooter, Alicia Wiley of Alicia Wiley Photography, for the day! Amber and Alicia are both lead wedding shooters via their own photography businesses, so when we showed up and realized we had six cameras, a Go Pro, and a stunning day… we decided to try something new.
Full disclosure, I am not a professional videographer and Brittany and Kevin did not have a videographer present. I respect my film making friends so much, and even more so after dabbling in it for fun the last few weeks. I did this completely spur of the moment, to test my creative boundaries, and to give back a little something extra to a couple who went the extra mile for us. This was by far one of my favorite wedding experiences to date, and I hope this little highlight reel does it justice!

From the ❤️ of the groom’s mom… Ashton, this clip captured the essential greatness of God. He had His hand in this from the moment you guys met in Panera Bread! Your unique and creative vision is clearly shown from the gifts bestowed upon you! “Beautiful” seems too simplistic of a word!! Your work AND this day were divinely created for Britt and Kevin. Thank you, Tracey Fitzpatrick
