Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Today is a bit of an exciting day. I’m probably a little nervous too, but those feelings creep in every time we launch a new segment or service. This day is no exception! The good thing is.. I’m not alone in this one!

Alicia Wiley of Alicia Wiley Photography, as many of you know, is my studio mate! We share a gorgeous little space near Canton Square here in Baltimore, MD and we utilize it for client meetings, sessions, and meet-ups for photographers.

Every first Wednesday of the month, we extend an invitation to local togs to join us at our studio. We’ve hosted anything from taco night to harsh light challenges, and we are excited to continue offering these opportunities. All photographers, new and seasoned, are welcome and we are grateful for the diversity. It has made the conversation that much more interesting.

The even cooler thing about these meet-ups is that we use them as a chance to talk about the things we are all struggling within our businesses. We curate a list of topics, everyone gets to speak and reflect, and then we provide the group with the overall notes. Each guest has a chance to meet new people, learn something they didn’t already know, or share and help someone else.. paying it forward.

Because these meetings have been so great, and because the information we were collecting seemed so useful as a whole, we had tossed around the idea of doing a webinar to share it. Then, we thought.. What if people miss it? We were really inspired to simply share the information, not as a selling point, not to get you to the end so we could tell you to buy the next course, but to simply entertain and hopefully pass some useful information along. We wanted people to be able to watch it over and over it they wanted. We wanted it to be recurring. We wanted it to be.. FREE!

And so, Click Chat was born!

Born, it was, randomly in our studio last Thursday. In the heat of our beautiful office (our first Summer there, without air), we stacked our notes together from the night before and decided to commit to our first episode. This month’s topics were focused on Facebook and the ability to boost and promote advertisements as well as social media favorites. We promise these will improve, but we do hope you enjoy our first attempt to Click Chat! :)

Next time, we’ll be chatting about the engagement session, why it’s important, and how to follow up with clients after a consultation.
