When I met with Rachel and Shane, I had just moved to Baltimore and they were in the process of moving away. We made the distance work by planning their engagement session during the holidays, and with lots of emails along the way. I loved working with them because they just made me laugh! They were so laid back, genuine, and just funny. I never felt like I was hanging out with a pair of clients, but always a pair of old friends. I’m grateful to have that type of connection with my clients. It makes telling their love story so much easier because we actually come to know (and love!!) them. :)

The day started out with rain. The forecast didn’t look good, but Rachel’s spirits were high. She had a “roll-with-it” attitude that immediately put me at ease. We set out, the ground still wet, and slowly the sun began to shine. We were able to do the wedding ceremony outside as planned, and it was a beautiful event. It was an honor and a blast to capture!






































OH! I must mention that Shane got the ultimate reception surprise! Before their move, Shane parted ways with his beloved Volkswagen. Rachel and the groomsmen set out to find it, located it on Craigslist, and had it delivered to the reception. It was a truly awesome moment to be part of.
