HELLO, NOVEMBER! | MONTHLY GOALS | EAST COAST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER | ASHTON KELLEY PHOTOGRAPHY

It’s November! The holidays are rapidly approaching and it’s almost time to start thinking about 2016. I’m setting a few goals for myself this month, and hopefully sharing them with the world will hold me just a wee bit more accountable!

1. Make time for the gym – As I’m ending a demanding wedding season, I know I’m looking forward to two months of big meals, lots of sweet treats, and down time. As much as I would love to live through my sweatpants over the next two months-I want to ensure that I stay active. Starting this week, I plan to go to the gym at least three times a week. (Let’s see how that goes..)

2. Polish off the studio space – We’re ALMOST completely set up, but there are a few things on the list I would love to accomplish. Finalizing little things like trim, accents, and moving in our gorgeous vintage couch from Salvaged to Sassy are a must as we get ready to invite friends and family to view our new digs.

3. Set up “Tea with Twenty.” – We are looking to invite a few friendors into the new space for social dates! This is going to be a new highlight for the blog, where we share our interactions with other creatives from the comfort of our new studio. Interested in joining me? Leave a comment and let’s set it up!

4. New year, new guide – I’m challenging myself to sit down and re-write my wedding guide for potential couples. So much has changed this year, I’ve grown so much, and I feel I have a little more insight to offer future AKP couples. This has been on my mind for a bit, so I’m excited to get it all “down on paper.”

5. Styled shoot – I had a creative shoot in mind for last Winter and time passed before I had the opportunity to execute it. I’m starting good and early this year to ensure I hold myself to accountable for getting it done. Gotta keep those juices flowing-even in the off season!

Perhaps these are simple, and some even predictable, but I’m a big fan of feeling like every day is a new day. Each morning provides us the opportunity to wake up and start a new routine, develop a fresh mindset, and keep life interesting. What goals are you setting for the year-end? Whatever they are.. Make them happen! <3

I almost felt bad making it one. It seems like it’s always on my list. I, too, have a membership that has been neglected for some time now.. haha.. We got it this, month! ;)

I am so with you about the gym thing. I legitimately cancelled my gym membership earlier this year after being on freeze for a year. So, although I’m not going back, I do need to start working out again! I have kettlebells and a yoga mat at home, that’s all I need! Let’s hold each other accountable!

I’m with you on the exercise goal! I gained weight this wedding season because I’ve been too busy to keep up with it. I know your studio is going to be AMAZING! I can’t wait to see it and would love to hear what Tea for Twenty is all about :) And remember when we first met how I said I needed a guide? I still don’t have one. Time to step up to that as well lol.

I love the idea of writing a list of goals each month. Most of the time I just fly by the seat of my pants! I also love your Tea For Twenty idea. That seems like such fun!

Excellent reminder to take time for personal goals and business goals! I think we all share many of these, but they tend to drop off our lists! Tea sounds fabulous – love that idea!

setting goals is such an important part of any business. It’s so easy to be content and not set new goals. Great advice
