Amanda and Casey met in 2016 at a PBR Baltimore party. It was Spring, and they both admit that they were doing a bit of soul searching. Amanda’s grandmother had recently passed and she had taken over her home, with all the responsibilities that came with it.
Casey stepped in and the pair fell into their relationship. Amanda says that once Casey spent the first night, he just slowly moved in. A few items at a time, helping with the chores, sweeping up messes and Amanda-off her feet.
It was clear Casey was interested in Amanda. He showed a lot of care for her. As things progressed, they both decided that this was “all or nothing.” Before the two knew it-almost three years had passed.
While romantically caught up in one another, the pair consider themselves to be private in their relationship. Amanda, wearing her grandfather’s oversized flannel and and old pair of pj pants dragged out the ornaments to decorate the Christmas tree. Casey was busy grabbing delivery at the door. This was an ordinary night in for the love birds.
Casey brought in a bottle of champagne. Amanda laughed at the combination of bubbly and bbq. She grabbed an ornament and began to decorate. Exactly three ornaments in-Casey bent the knee. Amanda was completely surprised, burst into tears, and even fell into the fetal position… but not without saying “YES!”
After the proposal, Amanda and Casey shared the news with friends and family. They had some other news in store as well! They purchased an Airstream and they are taking the trip of a lifetime. With this opportunity, they are going to be able to explore not just each other, but the entire United States.
