OH, BROTHER!

Emily and Kevin met at work. They both have positions at Under Armour in Locust Point. It wasn’t exactly love at first sight, though. Emily had a photo on her desk with her brother. Everyone assumed this was a boyfriend, so Kevin stayed safely in the friend zone.

Despite dropping hints she was interested, Kevin missed most of Emily’s attempts. After some time, Kevin finally asked Emily out. He “slid into her DM’s” on Twitter and they got tickets to see Gone Girl. She took the opportunity to give him her real number.

Emily was new to Baltimore when she and Kevin started dating. She admits it was a hard time for her, and often wondered if it was where she was meant to be. Kevin could see her questioning this, and used it as an opportunity to make a grand gesture. He gifted Emily with an Alex and Ani bracelet adorned with a compass. Kevin asked to make their relationship official, using the bracelet to represent their new path together.

LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE.

Kevin and Emily had spent four years together. They had come to know one another so well, and had created some traditions along the way. Each year-they hosted a Friendsgiving. This year was to be no different. As they prepared for the event and arriving guests, the pair stepped out to take Oakley (their dog) on walk to tire him out.

Oakley led Kevin and Emily along the walk through Canton Waterfront Park. Emily suggested getting back as she knew guests were beginning to arrive. Kevin had other plans. He told Emily how perfect he thought their life was and dropped to his knee with a ring. Right there, in her dress, Emily dropped to the ground laughing. Whether it was shock or extreme joy-she found herself floored with Kevin’s proposal. She caught her breath, said yes, and they all went back to a house full of friends waiting to celebrate!

FIVE FUN FACTS

Both Emily and Kevin have blue eyes, love dogs, and are passionate about sports.
The couple picked their wedding date based on a series of signs they got from the universe. One being numbers drawn in a white elephant game.
Kevin and Emily both went to Towson University, but never met!
Emily has seen every episode of Friends at least ten times, and Kevin teases her for laughing hysterically each time as though it’s new.
Kevin dropped some Taylor Swift-esque clues about proposing on IG days before he popped the question.
