Megan and Jared prepared for the day separately in suites at Courtyard by Marriott. They booked a charming trolley that would take them everywhere they needed to go. It started by picking up the boys and delivering them to University of Charleston, while the girls took photos at Charleston’s Capitol complex. The forecast had been calling for rain all week, but the sun was shining!
The wedding ceremony took place in the Erma Byrd Art Gallery at UC. Megan decorated the space with lanterns and greenery, which played elegantly against the art pieces being featured. Large windows provided ample light into the space. Jared beamed as Megan approached him. It was a lovely moment for the two as they became man and wife in front of their closest friends and family.
Everyone boarded the trolley after the ceremony. We took advantage of photo opportunities and then commuted back to UC. The DJ introduced the newlyweds to guests as they took to the dance floor for their first dance. Dinner followed with a fun cake cutting that resulted in smiling, frosting-covered faces. Friends and family joined the Mr. & Mrs. on the dance floor until the night’s happy end!
