PRE-WEDDING

Caitlyn and Dalton picked their wedding venue long before the big day. They knew they would be married on Dalton’s family land, just as his sister had done. This made the event all the more special. It also made things super convenient as everyone was able to get ready right on site.

CEREMONY

This was the first warm wedding day of the year. At a high of nearly 91 degrees, it was a full blown Summer day for Caitlyn, Dalton, and their guests. All were joined together outside with a gorgeous view of the rolling mountains. The sun shined as the pair shared their vows and all were elated and cheering as they made their way back down the aisle-married.

PARTY TIME

Dalton’s parents have a huge, finished barn on their land as well. This was the perfect spot for guests to share dinner and a refreshing drink. Guests changed into more comfortable attire and made their way to the dance floor. The party went on all night-which is the beauty of growing up in a small town where neighbors aren’t close enough to complain about noise! <3

FIVE FUN FACTS

Caitlyn and Dalton’s wedding took place in my home town of Clay County, West Virginia.
These two were actually previous clients! Caitlyn and Dalton did prom pictures with me during one of my very first years in the business.
Dalton wrote out his proposal to Caitlyn in the sand on a beach trip. The whole family was in on it and it was a huge surprise.
Caitlyn and Dalton originally set a wedding date, but had to move it. Some time into their planning they got some news. Caitlyn’s college graduation date would be the same day!
Dalton did not want to do a First Look, but agreed to a First Touch. During their “Touch” moment, Caitlyn was still asking Dalton if he was sure he didn’t want to turn around. He resisted, and waited until he saw her coming down the aisle. Spoiler alert: Dalton cried!
