GETTING READY

Both surrounded by their respective party members and family, Liz and Gregg got ready at The Inn at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club. The convenient location put them just a few seconds away from the venue. Liz and Gregg were able to relax, prepare for the day, and share laughs with their loved ones as the day progressed. While it had rained in the morning, the forecast began to clear right before Liz stepped into her wedding gown.

THE CEREMONY

Little specks of rain came down right before the ceremony. Guests still took their seats in the garden, some with umbrellas. They say rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck. For Liz and Gregg, that’s simply all it was. A little good luck sprinkle. As Gregg and his groomsmen walked down the aisle, the rain cleared. The pair shared a beautiful ceremony, ended with guests tossing flower petals as they passed by, newly married!

PARTY TIME

Live music greeted attendees around the bar at cocktail hour. Appetizers and crafted cocktails were served. The mood heightened as guests got social and started to enjoy the reception. Once moved into the ballroom, everyone was seated to serve dinner. Not a single moment after everyone finished eating, they rushed to the dance floor. That is where the spent the rest of the night! This was a happening party and from the photo booth, interactive bars (see below), and a stellar DJ… it was an epic dance party.

FIVE FUN FACTS

  1. Liz and Gregg skipped the traditional by choosing a First Look. They took it one step further and also skipped the set up. Liz took her place on the beach, and Gregg simply walked down to meet her. As they came together for the first time that day, the clouds literally cleared allowing the sun to shine down on their love.
  2. Gregg gifted Liz two framed photos from their engagement session with me. This was a pre-wedding gift. So thoughtful, right? (#printyourphotos)
  3. The ring bearer stopped to pick a flower before walking down the aisle, stealing everyone’s hearts. He later stole the last of the flower petals out of the flower girl basket at the end of the aisle. She was not as entertained as all of the guests around her!
  4. These newlyweds practiced their First Dance like it was a SYTYCD routine, and they nailed it. It made for the perfect twirl every single time, especially in Liz’s gorgeous ballgown.
  5. Toward the end of the night, a “Bacon and Bourbon” bar opened up. This was one of the most creative entertaining elements I’ve seen at a wedding this year! It was also one of the most DELICIOUS.
