I used to make goals by the year. I would set them, start off strong in January, and then lose my momentum as time passed. It was difficult to stay accountable for 365 days. This year, I decided to break it down by the month. I would take one month at a time, and see if that helped me accomplish things more efficiently.
In January, my goals were to eat better, start a work out regiment, launch my new video features, and to focus on my bridal clients. Admittedly, I ate terribly this past weekend at our AKP Squad Retreat in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was definitely worth it. Overall, the first month of 2017 went pretty well. It’s left me feeling even better about my month-to-month breakdown and everything I can accomplish in February.
We may be a week in, but I wanted to post today to remind myself what’s important. Here are just a few things I hope to tackle this month!
February is the second installment of my wellness routine. I want to continue to eat in, make healthier choices, and to be active. My hope is to work out a few times a week, and to use the time to disconnect from the work world so that I can nurture my mental health also.
Valentine’s Day welcomes LOTS of engagements. No doubt that there will be a few couples who say “yes” to their wedding over the next week, and I hope they come find me! I want to book one wedding in February, and I hope it’s a pair of funny Valentines. :)
I want to utilize LIVE features more on social media. From Instagram stories to Facebook Live, I want to connect more with my audience. In a attempt to be more REAL online, I’d like to show more behind the scenes, more every day, and more of my personal life. I look forward to networking with followers over the coming month in this way! Wish me luck!
We are just under two months from the Nashville, TN event! I want to spend this month focusing and preparing on those attendees, the workshop, and how we can make it an epic affair. To avoid last minute stress, I aim to take care of the many details THIS month to ensure we can all enjoy the AKP Retreat as a group with no bother.
I’ve realized recently that I tend to take on everything out of fear that I can’t rely on others. Having been burned in the past, it’s easy to to take on the “if you want something done, you’ve got to do it yourself” attitude. I spent last weekend with the AKP Squad and I’ve realized that it is okay to ask for help and that the world won’t stop spinning if someone ELSE posts on Instagram. In February, I would like to outsource at least three different tasks.
I hope by putting all of this out there into the universe that I will be a bit more accountable to myself! I also hope you’re making goals, holding yourself to them, and killing it. It may be a short month, but you’ve totally got this!
